At least 41 ISIS terrorists have lost their lives and tens of others injured in an attack by the terrorists on the western Iraqi city of Ramadi, security sources say.

The attack was carried out using seven almost simultaneous car bombs in Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province, on Wednesday. Among the dead are 17 ISIS bombers.

“At around 7:00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), ISIS launched seven attacks with … bombers driving Humvees in the areas of Hawz, Malaab, Toi, Albu Faraj and Albu Eitha,” police official Mustafa Samir said.

Scuffles broke out in several areas following the car bomb raids and mortar rounds were fired on the provincial council headquarters, police said.

ISIS-linked social media accounts said a Belgian, a Syrian and a terrorist from the Caucasus were among the bombers.
