Russia\u2019s latest Satellite-Operated Unmanned Arial Vehicle (UAV) \u201cOrion\u201d is ready to take the skies in upcoming winters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UAV has been developed by Russia\u2019s leading arms development industry Kronshtadt Group. Orion has the capability to carry any type of modern weapon. The drone\u2019s open architecture allows it to be customized according to the needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While presenting the product the CEO of Kronshtadt Group Sergei Bogatikov specified classes of the drone stressing the point that it has the capability of launching all sorts of modern combating weapons and holds the ability to carry a payload of up to 200 Kilograms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding to the specifications of Orion’s capabilities, the CEO mentioned that the medium-altitude drone will be equipped with state-of-the-art stellate communication systems which will significantly increase the range and accuracy of Orion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Russian military has extensively used UAVs to carry out airstrikes and reconnaissance during their recent operations in Syria. The announcement of yet another state-of-the-art UAV indicates Russia\u2019s inclination towards this technology. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
