{"id":6772,"date":"2021-02-21T11:15:49","date_gmt":"2021-02-21T11:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/box5917.temp.domains\/~iriacom\/\/news\/?p=6772"},"modified":"2021-02-21T11:15:49","modified_gmt":"2021-02-21T11:15:49","slug":"us-plane-suffers-engine-failure-scatters-debris-over-denver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ir-ia.com\/news\/us-plane-suffers-engine-failure-scatters-debris-over-denver\/","title":{"rendered":"US plane suffers engine failure, scatters debris over Denver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>United Airlines flight landed safely after suffering engine failure<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A United Airlines passenger plane landed safely at Denver International Airport after it suffered an engine failure just minutes after taking off, strewing debris across a Denver neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>There were no reports of injuries on the plane or the ground.<\/p>\n<p>The Boeing 777-200 plane, with 231 passengers and 10 crew on board, was heading to Honolulu on Saturday when it suffered an engine failure soon after takeoff, the airline said.<\/p>\n<p>A video shot from inside the aircraft showed the right engine ablaze and wobbling on the wing of the plane.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can honestly say I thought we were going to die at one point \u2013 because we started dropping altitude right after the explosion,\u201d passenger David Delucia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2021\/02\/20\/broomfield-airplane-parts-dia-emergency-landing\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #a80000;\">told The Denver Post<\/span><\/a>. \u201cI grabbed my wife\u2019s hand and said, \u2018We\u2019re done.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Had a front row seat to the entire engine failure on United flight 328.
