The launch endorses the operational capacity of the SSBN Le T\u00e9m\u00e9raire and also demonstrates the high-tech excellence of French defense industry, the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>France&#8217;s Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly, and French Navy Chief of Staff Adm. Christophe Prazuck issued their statements on Twitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe nuclear-powered Le T\u00e9m\u00e9raire successfully fired an M51 strategic ballistic <a href=\"https:\/\/box5917.temp.domains\/~iriacom\/\/news\/tag\/missile\/\"><span style=\"color: #a80000;\">missile<\/span><\/a> off Finist\u00e8re\u201d Florence Parly, French Minister of Armed Forces, tweeted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\">\n<p lang=\"fr\" dir=\"ltr\">Le sous-marin nucl\u00e9aire lanceur d\u2019engins (SNLE) Le T\u00e9m\u00e9raire a tir\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s un missile balistique strat\u00e9gique M51 au large du Finist\u00e8re. It is a core component of France\u2019s nuclear deterrence force. M51&#8217;s basic range is beyond 6,000 km (3,700 miles) according to French Ministry of the Armed Forces.<\/p>\n<p>French Navy&#8217;s four new-generation nuclear-powered missile submarine, the Triomphant class, entered service in 1997, 1999, 2004, and 2010. Le T\u00e9m\u00e9raire is the second-oldest of the four nuclear submarines.
