{"id":6433,"date":"2020-05-11T17:08:11","date_gmt":"2020-05-11T17:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/box5917.temp.domains\/~iriacom\/\/news\/?p=6433"},"modified":"2020-05-13T17:10:28","modified_gmt":"2020-05-13T17:10:28","slug":"japan-receives-first-two-v-22-osprey-vtol-aircraft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ir-ia.com\/news\/japan-receives-first-two-v-22-osprey-vtol-aircraft\/","title":{"rendered":"Japan receives first two V-22 Osprey VTOL aircraft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>First two V-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft arrive in Japan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tokyo has received its first pair of Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotors to build its amphibious and naval warfare capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Videos from the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force (JGSDF) and US Marine Corps (USMC) show the two aircraft with the serial numbers JG-1701 (91701) and JG-1705 (91705) performing flight operations in Japanese markings.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft,\u00a0delivered on May 8, are the first of five Ospreys the JGSD ordered in 2015 at a cost of $332 million.<\/p>\n<p>Japan plans to buy at least 17 V-22B Osprey tilt rotors flown by the U.S. Marine Corps.
