U.S. Air Force demonstrates airpower at exercise featuring 52 F-35 fighter jets<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a show of strength, U.S. Air Force staged a massive exercise including an elephant walk of 52 most advanced F-35A fighter jets at the base in Utah on January 6, 2020.<\/p>\n

The exercise comes at a critical time amid rising tensions between the U.S. and Iran following the killing of Iran’s top General\u00a0Qasem Soleiman<\/span>i<\/a> by the U.S. in Iraq.<\/p>\n

The exercise with 52 fully-armed F-35A Lightning II stealth fighter jets demonstrates readiness, warfighting capability and air power of the U.S. Air Force.<\/p>\n

The Combat Power Exercise was conducted by 388th and 419th Fighter Wings at Hill Air Force Base as the fighter wings achieved full warfighting capability.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery training opportunity, exercise and deployment we\u2019ve completed over the past four years has been a key stepping stone in reaching full warfighting capability,\u201d said<\/span><\/a> Col. Steven Behmer, 388th Fighter Wing commander.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is just the beginning of sustained F-35A combat operations and we will remain focused on staying ready to deploy whenever, wherever we\u2019re needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today we launched about 50 F-35s in rapid succession. Part of a long-planned combat power exercise with @388fw<\/a>, we pushed the boundaries and tested our Airmen\u2019s ability to deploy @thef35<\/a> en masse.
