Defence and security company <span style=\"color: #a80000;\"><a style=\"color: #a80000;\" href=\"https:\/\/saab.com\/l\" target=\"_blank\">Saab<\/a><\/span> says the order will be delivered this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Finnish Defence Forces have been using the NLAW weapon system since 2007. This order is a call-up of an option as part of a previous contract, announced in 2015, regarding delivery of NLAW weapon systems.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">G\u00f6rgen Johansson, head of Saab&#8217;s business area Dynamics, <span style=\"color: #a80000;\"><a style=\"color: #a80000;\" href=\"http:\/\/saabgroup.com\/Media\/news-press\/news\/2017-10\/saab-receives-nlaw-order-from-finnish-defence-forces\/\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a><\/span>: &#8220;The interest for our NLAW system has increased significantly in recent years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis order is a strong proof of this and we look forward to deliver a high-capability weapon system to the <span style=\"color: #a80000;\"><a style=\"color: #a80000;\" href=\"http:\/\/puolustusvoimat.fi\/en\/frontpage\" target=\"_blank\">Finnish Defence Forces<\/a><\/span>. NLAW provides the single soldier with a true anti-tank capability, previously not available on the battlefield.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the recently held military exercise Aurora 17, in Sweden, the NLAW system was used by both Swedish and Finnish forces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThere is a long-lasting commercial relationship between Saab and the Finnish Defence Forces. This call-up of an option from the 2015 contract demonstrates high trust and confidence from the Finnish Defence Forces towards the NLAW system\u201d, says Anders Gardberg, head of Saab in Finland.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Key features of NLAW<\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Next generation Light Anti-Tank Weapon system (<span style=\"color: #a80000;\"><a style=\"color: #a80000;\" href=\"https:\/\/saab.com\/land\/weapon-systems\/support-weapons\/NLAW\/\" target=\"_blank\">NLAW<\/a><\/span>) is a shoulder-launched, anti-tank missile system dismounted light infantry that can engage the target from above. The weapon\u2019s capability to attack target from above makes it the most effective anti-tank weapon that operate dismounted in all environments.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NLAW was first developed for the UK and Sweden.
