Turkiye\u2019s defense company ASELSAN has signed a contract with Polish armored vehicle manufacturer AMZ Kutno to supply 24 ARSUS reconnaissance and surveillance system sets to the Polish Armed Forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parties signed the agreement on September 8, 2026, at the MSPO 2026 international defense exhibition in Kielce, Poland. Deliveries of the new systems are scheduled for 2028 and 2029.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contract expands ASELSAN\u2019s growing presence in Poland and strengthens cooperation between the Turkish and Polish defense industries. It also follows a major electronic warfare agreement ASELSAN and Poland signed in December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new ARSUS contract adds reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities to ASELSAN\u2019s growing portfolio of defense cooperation with Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement builds on a framework deal signed by ASELSAN and AMZ Kutno in 2024. The additional systems will supplement deliveries already planned under the wider cooperation framework, with some deliveries extending through 2035.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASELSAN said the new agreement would further expand its operations and local partnerships in Poland through its local office, ongoing projects and cooperation with Polish defense companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has developed a network of more than 20 Polish suppliers and is also exploring additional cooperation in areas including training, maintenance and centers of excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a global defense brand, ASELSAN is continuing to expand its international footprint, particularly across Europe, NATO markets and other key regions,\u201d ASELSAN President and CEO Ahmet Akyol said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPoland is an important part of this broader international growth, and our partnership with the country has been gaining momentum,\u201d Akyol said, adding that the latest agreement would broaden cooperation beyond electronic warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis new contract is another important step in deepening our cooperation,\u201d he said. \u201cFollowing last year\u2019s major electronic warfare contract, we are now expanding our collaboration into reconnaissance and surveillance, further strengthening the relationship between ASELSAN and Polish industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Electronic Warfare Deal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ARSUS agreement came shortly after ASELSAN secured a $410 million electronic warfare export contract with Poland in December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That agreement marked a major expansion of ASELSAN\u2019s activities in the Polish defense market. The new surveillance contract shows that cooperation between the two countries is now extending into a wider range of defense technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASELSAN and AMZ Kutno are also working together on projects involving local industrial participation. The Turkish company has said it wants to strengthen its presence in Poland through long-term partnerships rather than focusing only on individual equipment sales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The approach fits with Poland\u2019s broader effort to strengthen its domestic defense industry and develop local capabilities while working with foreign defense companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poland has been rapidly expanding its military capabilities and defense-industrial base in response to the changing security environment in Europe. Cooperation with NATO allies and partners has become an important part of Warsaw\u2019s modernization efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Turkish-Polish Defense Cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest contract was announced during MSPO 2026, one of Europe\u2019s major defense exhibitions and an important venue for Turkish and Polish defense companies to develop new industrial partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polish President Karol Nawrocki also visited the exhibition stands of Turkiye\u2019s Presidency of Defense Industries and ASELSAN during the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SSB President Haluk Gorgun briefed Nawrocki on Turkiye\u2019s defense capabilities and ongoing cooperation between the two NATO allies. Gorgun also held meetings with Polish and British officials during the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n

His discussions with Polish Deputy Minister of State Assets Konrad Golota and Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz focused on expanding defense-industrial cooperation, including joint production, technology transfer and localization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

G\u00f6rgun said cooperation between Turkiye and Poland could be expanded through long-term industrial partnerships and concrete projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBuilding on the historical foundation created by our centuries-old relations and the strong framework provided by our NATO alliance, we will continue to advance our engagement through concrete projects,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another meeting with UK Minister for Defense Readiness and Industry Luke Pollard, Gorgun also discussed opportunities for cooperation between the Turkish and British defense industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBuilding on our NATO alliance, we will continue to bring our respective capabilities together in new projects,\u201d Gorgun told Pollard, according to the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


ASELSAN showcases wider portfolio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASELSAN used MSPO 2026 to display a broad range of defense technologies covering air defense, electronic warfare, counter-drone systems, unmanned aircraft, maritime systems and underwater capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the systems displayed was DRONEDEF, a counter-uncrewed aircraft layer within ASELSAN\u2019s STEEL DOME integrated air-defense architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DRONEDEF combines electronic, laser, kinetic, and high-power electromagnetic technologies designed to counter different types of unmanned aircraft. The company also showcased the KORAL electronic warfare family, along with the ANTIDOT and FULMAR 200-A payloads for unmanned aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company’s maritime portfolio at the exhibition included the KILI\u00c7 autonomous underwater vehicle family, the TUFAN unmanned surface vehicle and the MARL\u0130N 100 anti-submarine warfare vessel.
