Kyiv said it had previously struck 15 of Wildberries’ largest logistics hubs.

Ukraine argues that such facilities can be used to move goods with potential military applications and that attacks on them can impose economic costs while disrupting supplies reaching Russia’s war effort.

The campaign represents a broader expansion of Ukraine’s targeting inside Russia, moving beyond conventional military installations to commercial and logistics infrastructure that Kyiv says supports the Russian military economy.

Russia Targets Ukrainian Rail Network

Russia continued attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure on Sunday, including strikes against the country’s railway network.

A Russian attack struck a train at Lymanivka station in the Kharkiv region, killing one person and injuring four others, according to Ukrainian authorities.

Another Russian Shahed drone struck a passenger train traveling from Zhytomyr to Odesa in southern Ukraine. Ukrainian Railways said the train was stopped after an evacuation warning, allowing passengers and crew to move to safety.

The train was carrying 593 passengers, including 15 children, according to the company. The attacks highlight the continuing pressure on Ukraine’s transportation infrastructure as both sides increasingly target logistical networks that support military operations and the movement of personnel and supplies.

Smoke rises in the city during a Russian missile strike, amid Russia’s attack on Ukraine, in Kyiv, Ukraine, on August 16, 2026. Zelenskyy is seeking to maintain domestic cohesion while securing additional Western military and financial support.

Ukraine’s immediate priorities remain air defense, weapons supplies and funding.
