{"id":3516,"date":"2015-12-30T17:08:27","date_gmt":"2015-12-30T17:08:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/box5917.temp.domains\/~iriacom\/\/news\/?p=3516"},"modified":"2015-12-30T17:08:27","modified_gmt":"2015-12-30T17:08:27","slug":"saudi-arabia-turkey-agree-to-boost-strategic-cooperation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ir-ia.com\/news\/saudi-arabia-turkey-agree-to-boost-strategic-cooperation\/","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia, Turkey agree to boost strategic cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Turkey, Saudi Arabia agree to boost economic, military, energy relations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkey and Saudi Arabia reached an agreement on the establishment of a high-level strategic cooperation council to set up a strategic cooperation council to strengthen military, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The council will be interested in many matters, including security, military, political, economic, trade and investment fields as well as energy, education, cultural affairs, medicine and other fields,&#8221;\u00a0Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said later.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The announcement came after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Saudi King Salman in Riyadh on Tuesday to discuss boosting ties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two leaders also talked about how the newly formed counterterrorism coalition comprising 34 Muslim-majority nations will handle mechanisms of action in its quest to curb militant groups in the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The meeting produced a desire to set up a high-level strategic cooperation council between the two countries,&#8221; Jubeir <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/english.alarabiya.net\/en\/News\/middle-east\/2015\/12\/29\/Saudi-Arabia-Turkey-to-set-up-strategic-cooperation-council-Saudi-FM.html\" target=\"_blank\">told<\/a><\/span> a joint news conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu after talks in Riyadh. He said the council will deal with security, military, economy, trade, energy and investment between the two countries. Meanwhile, Turkey supports a Saudi-led initiative to fight terrorism and will take part in it, \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Turkish Foreign Minister <span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.menafn.com\/1094508456\/Al-Jubeir-announces-establishment-of-Saudi-Turkish-high-level-strategic-cooperation-council-2-Riyadh\" target=\"_blank\">asserted<\/a><\/span> his country&#8217;s support for the efforts of the kingdom and its dealing with the issues of the region on the political and military levels.
