(Image Credit: Planet Labs PBC\/via Reuters)<\/sup><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>He also expressed hope that Iran would \u201crecalculate quickly and stop attacking their neighbours,\u201d though he added: \u201cI am doubtful they have that wisdom.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Saudi minister said the war would eventually end, but warned that rebuilding trust with Iran would take significant time, noting that relations had already been fragile despite a recent China-brokered rapprochement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analysts say the Riyadh meeting may signal a shift in regional dynamics, potentially marking a setback in efforts to normalize ties between Saudi Arabia and Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Iran\u2019s Response<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Inside Iran, leadership uncertainty is adding to tensions. Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who succeeded his father Ali Khamenei after his reported assassination, has not been seen publicly since taking power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Iranian officials have vowed retaliation. A statement from the Supreme Leader\u2019s Telegram channel warned that \u201cevery drop of spilled blood comes at a price,\u201d signaling continued escalation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Iranian figures, more than 1,400 people have been killed and over 18,000 injured in strikes attributed to the United States and Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had carried out \u201cOperation True Promise 4,\u201d targeting oil facilities linked to U.S. interests in the region.
