The International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defense Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025, which concluded on February 21 in Abu Dhabi, highlighted significant developments in the UAE\u2019s defense sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the exhibition, the UAE awarded numerous defense contracts valued at around $6.85 billion, with nearly 68% of the deals going to local UAE companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 attracted defense and security companies from around the world, including major players like BAE Systems, Saab, Leonardo, Airbus, and Rosoboronexport. Notably, defense firms from Ukraine and Israel also showcased their technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIDEX and NAVDEX have reinforced Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global destination for the defense and military industries,\u201d said Staff Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for IDEX and NAVDEX. He hoped the exhibitions help advance the shared vision of maintaining global stability and security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spokesperson for Tawazun Council, an independent government entity that works closely with the Ministry of Defense and security agencies in the UAE, Majed Ahmed Al Jabri said, “The increased confidence in the UAE\u2019s defense and security investment environment reflects the country\u2019s role as a key strategic partner in this vital sector.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Majed Ahmed Al Jabri further highlighted the Tawazun Council’s commitment to enhancing the competitiveness of the national industry and supporting innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n

As IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 conclude, the UAE solidifies its position as a global hub for advanced defense industries, showcasing its dedication to innovation, strategic partnerships, and strengthening its defense capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
