The vehicles have been scheduled to be delivered by 2031.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The contract entails the delivery of new and recapitalized heavy tactical platforms, as well as their corresponding trailers, ensuring that the Army remains equipped with the latest technology and vehicles capable of meeting the demands of modern warfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The specific FHTV configurations ordered include the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT A4), the Palletized Load System (PLS), and the Heavy Equipment Transporter (HET).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his statement, the Oshkosh Defense Chief Programs Officer Pat Williams expressed the company\u2019s pride in continuing its partnership with the U.S. Army and said, \u201cWe are extremely honored that the U.S. Army continues to invest in the proven Oshkosh Family of Heavy Tactical Vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Williams further highlighted, \u201cOur continued collaboration with the Army ensures that we deliver exceptional, high-performance vehicles with the latest technologies and active safety features.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The U.S. Army initially placed a $231.9-million order under this program in June 2024, setting the stage for the continuation of the FHTV initiative. Since its founding in 1917, Oshkosh has evolved from producing cement mixers and snow plows to becoming a global leader in defense manufacturing.
