The vehicles were the first of 30 promised by Washington.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Washington also plans to send 200 regular Humvees as well as\u00a0radios, counter-mortar radars, and other non-lethal equipment\u00a0worth $75 million.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a bipartisan 348-48 vote on Monday, the US House of Representatives passed a resolution to step up pressure on President Barack Obama to provide Ukraine with lethal arms.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The measure urged Obama to provide the country with &#8220;lethal defensive weapon systems&#8221; that would improve Kiev\u2019s ability to &#8220;defend their sovereign territory from the unprovoked and continuing aggression of the Russian Federation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/217.218.67.233\/\/photo\/20150325\/c09e756c-1e91-41d1-926f-7c732f05fb3b.jpg?resize=550%2C310\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"310\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko attends the delivery of vehicles on March 25.<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Western governments accuse Russia of destabilizing Ukraine by supporting pro-Russian forces in the eastern regions.
