{"id":1292,"date":"2015-03-02T14:35:12","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T14:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/box5917.temp.domains\/~iriacom\/\/news\/?p=1292"},"modified":"2015-03-02T14:35:12","modified_gmt":"2015-03-02T14:35:12","slug":"india-cut-oil-imports-from-iran-by-62","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ir-ia.com\/news\/india-cut-oil-imports-from-iran-by-62\/","title":{"rendered":"India cut oil imports from Iran by 62%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A new report says Iran\u2019s oil exports to India witnessed a sharp decline last month.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">New Delhi\u00a0cut its crude imports from Iran in February by some 62%, which is a 1-1\/2-year low to keep annual volumes from Tehran near the previous fiscal year&#8217;s levels, Mehr news agency reported Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Refiners in\u00a0India\u00a0had raised the imports from April to December &#8211; the first nine months of this fiscal year &#8211; by more than 40 percent, which reportedly led to opposition from the US.<\/p>\n<p>India, which is Iran&#8217;s top client after\u00a0China, shipped in some 102,200 barrels per day (bpd) of crude and condensate from Tehran in February, the lowest since July 2013, and down 63% from January and 62% from a year ago, the reported added.<\/p>\n<p>New Delhi reportedly wants to keep its average oil imports from\u00a0Iran\u00a0at 210,000-220,000 bpd or about 11 million tonnes in the year to March 31, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The April-February imports from\u00a0Iran\u00a0were up 16%, compared with 206,800 bpd imported in the same period of the previous fiscal year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GHN\/GHN<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new report says Iran\u2019s oil exports to India witnessed a sharp decline last month.
