invade Lebanon and declare an \u201cemirate\u201d there in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The scheme was revealed by Lebanese security sources cited in a Monday report by the local Daily Star news outlet, which further pointed out that the militants have demanded support from affiliated terrorists in northern Syria to achieve their intrusion objectives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the sources, the ISIS command has also started arrangements to establish \u201ca military organizational committee tasked with running Lebanese affairs\u201d following their presumed invasion of the nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, the security sources noted that the notorious terror group was having difficulties picking a Lebanese commander for their military mission in the country after ruling out the appointment of fugitive preacher Ahmad al-Assir for the post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Efforts to set up an ISIS command for \u201cthe Lebanon emirate\u201d were being carried out \u201cunder the supervision of the group commander Khalaf al-Zeyabi Halous, codenamed Abu Musaab Halous,\u201d a native of Syria \u201cwho had played a key role\u201d in the ISIS\u2019s capture the country\u2019s northern Raqqa province in 2013, according to the sources.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Halous recently visited the al-Qalamoun region on the Lebanese-Syrian border, where he met with field commanders to discuss setting up security and military formations between Qalamoun and Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since the ISIS\u2019s \u201cadventure\u201d of setting up an emirate in Lebanon \u201chas not received the green light from the powers backing ISIS,\u201d the terrorist group\u2019s attempt to expand into Lebanon \u201cmight be doomed to failure\u201d, the report said using an alternative spelling for ISIS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cAn influential party in Lebanon\u201d has received key intelligence indicating that the ISIS is \u201cbent on recruiting more\u2026 bombers equipped with explosives belts to target Shia gatherings in Beirut\u00a0and the southern suburbs as well as French and Western interests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the report, the development\u00a0\u201ccoincides with official and party security reports that terrorist organizations, at the forefront of which are ISIS and the [al-Qaeda-linked] Nusra Front, are preparing to launch attacks deep into Lebanese territory, not only from the outskirts of the northeastern town of Arsal, but also from along the eastern frontier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
