{"id":10584,"date":"2022-07-26T02:50:16","date_gmt":"2022-07-26T00:50:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ir-ia.com\/news\/?p=10584"},"modified":"2022-07-26T02:50:17","modified_gmt":"2022-07-26T00:50:17","slug":"iran-to-shutdown-iaea-surveillance-system-until-the-nuclear-deal-is-restored","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ir-ia.com\/news\/iran-to-shutdown-iaea-surveillance-system-until-the-nuclear-deal-is-restored\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran to shutdown IAEA surveillance system until the nuclear deal is restored"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Iran has announced to shut down the surveillance system of the United Nation\u2019s nuclear watchdog until the 2015 Iran nuclear deal is restored.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The head of Iran\u2019s Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Eslami announced on July 25 that Iran plans to turn off the surveillance system of its nuclear plants that have been installed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Eslami stated that &#8220;those cameras are related to the nuclear deal. If Westerners return to this pact and we are certain they will not commit any mischief, we will make a decision on these cameras.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also denied all kinds of Possible Military Dimension (PDM) allegations against Iran\u2019s nuclear program and stated that his country is not obliged to address the unexplained uranium traces as demanded by the IAEA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IAEA installed cameras and other advance monitoring systems in Iran\u2019s nuclear plants as a part of Iran\u2019s 2015 nuclear deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), to clear up the allegations that Iran is enriching uranium to make it capable of being used in the nuclear weapons. The revival of Iran\u2019s nuclear deal seemed to be approaching in March this year, however, the talks came to a halt when Iran conditioned that talks with the removal of Iran&#8217;s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from the U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IRGC is Iran\u2019s top intelligence and elite arms unit that Washington accuses of a global terrorist campaign.
