European multinational aerospace giant Airbus has awarded three contracts to Turkish Aerospace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The contracts cover Airbus A350F Barrier Wall, A320 Family \u2013 Section 18\/19 Joining, and A220 Center Mid Lower Fuselage Panels.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Turkish Aerospace press release, the company will design, build and supply the Barrier Wall for Airbus\u2019 latest large widebody freighter, A350F.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the contract, Turkish Aerospace will also supply Barrier Wall for A350F as the sole source throughout the entire program lifetime starting in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTurkish Aerospace will build and deliver the Center Mid Lower Fuselage Panels of the A220 Family and will supply A220 – Center Mid Lower Fuselage Panels throughout the entire program starting in 2023,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the Turkish firm will perform the “joining of the already produced S18 shells and S19 barrel. The statement highlighted that the Turkish aerospace company \u201cdelivers half the rate of the complete Section 18\/19 Structure for the A320 Family, the most successful aircraft family ever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vice Chairman of Turkish Aerospace Omer Cihad Vardan said, \u201cWe are glad to have signed such a great contract with our strategic partner Airbus. I believe that two companies\u2019 close industrial collaboration will support the A320, A350F, and A220 programs\u2019 performance, and affordability while furthering the longstanding relationship between Airbus and Turkey\u2019s aerospace industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All activities for these work packages will be performed at Turkish Aerospace premises in Ankara, which covers an area of 4 million square meters with an industrial facility of 640,000 square meters, and 13,000 workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facility is equipped with high-technology machinery and equipment that provide extensive manufacturing capabilities ranging from parts manufacturing to aircraft assembly, flight tests, and delivery.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
